I love Spanish and Italian. My mother has been teaching me some Spanish as well as some close friends. The thing that makes Italian easy for me is its similarities with Spanish ( for instance mi chiamo is easy to remember because it sounds like me llamo).

Once I get further into Spanish and Italian though, will continue to not confuse me or will it be just too much? Personal experiences learning Spanish and Italian at once?

I will not learn Spanish in school because I already chose another language. But I still want to learn Spanish because of the huge Spanish-speaking population in the USA.

So, is it easy or difficult to learn Spanish on my own either through traveling to Spanish-speaking countries or computer software?
