Hey angry POD, I am speaking English.
Not just selling to Mexico, but to spanish-speakers in the US.
grooming, you can choose not to put things in Spanish, just dont sell you stuff, your choice.
Alll dialects of Spanish understand one another well. Dont act like if you spoke Mexican Spanish, people from Cuba would not understand you, they would and do, ask my Cuban friend.
Zoe, I am not Hispanic, I never claimed to be. My husband and I help Mexico by taking care of his parents, bring things to his aunts, uncles, friends. I take letters and packages to and from Mexico to let friends communicate with their families. In my house in Mexico, we house his Mom, Dad, Sister, Neice and Nephew. It’s a pretty big place. We have a bathroom with shower, something that they didnt have before we made our house there. I sadly cannot say that I have helped all of Mexico, though I have donated to the Red Cross there for the victims of Hurricane Stan. I cant help how you percieve me, I am just stating my beliefs.

I myself think it’s a great idea,being bilingual is most useful in today’s workforce.
I know,I have friends who are citizens who cannot speak English.
I know,back in the 80’s when I was in high school,a foreign language was required.I took French.
Well,I had the opportunity to learn the little French I know from a native speaker.The language they teach in school is not really enough to hold a conversation.For example who in the world says “La plume de ma tante est sur la table?” That is so textbook.

Tons of people live in the United States who only speak Spanish and we take care of all their needs for them and translate everything into their language. If we went to Mexico would they go to the trouble of translating everything into English for us. Would we survive without ever learning Spanish?

Loretta, obviously you have never been out of your state. People in Spain do not speak “proper” Spanish, they speak differently. If this was the case, then American English would be wrong and British would be right.

Management at my fathers company recently informed there Bosses that if they wanted to advance within the company they would be required to learn Spanish. One man stood up and asked Why can’t THEY learn English?.
WHY should US Citizens be forced to learn Spanish? Last time I checked we didn’t go to Mexico to steal Jobs and I’m sure if we did they wouldn’t be learning English to accomidate us.
